Not a pleasant stay at all

When we first were dropped off by the taxi at this hotel we were a little concerned - it is located in the middle of a busy market place with piles of rubbish all around. The traffic inside is terrible and so takes more than twice as long as expected to reach the road the hotel is on. The hotel itself is on the fourth floor of an industrial building and difficult to find unless you know here it actually is. But no matter, we decided not to judge on first appearances as sometimes, especially in India, things that look like they may be terrible actually work out to be quite nice. But oh how wrong we were. First and foremost I would like to point out that the staff, when they were working, were absolutely lovey. Pleasant and polite and willing to help. That however is the only good thing I can say about or stay. The room was filthy and there was damp on the ceiling in both the main room and the bathroom. The double bed was made up with only one blanket made up for a single bed so one of us was without any blankets to sleep. The bathroom stank of urine, had a tap that did not put water out of the spout but only the fitting so water pooled around the base of the fitting and only trickled from the tap and the tiles on the floor were cracked and broken. Again we thought no matter, this is India and if you are looking to stay in this hotel you’re obviously looking for somewhere cheap and this is to be expected. However at night until 2am maybe 3am there were people in the hallways, running up and down, shouting, playing loud music and keeping their doors wide open. On the second night after being woken up by shouting a second time my partner stuck his head out the door and yelled at them to be quiet. The people then banged on our door multiple times until I opened the door to tell them to go away as they were disrespectful and harassing us. Both were hotel employees, in uniform but obviously off shift and staying in the hotel to sleep. In the morning we checked out of the hotel to find somewhere quieter and nicer to stay and the reception staff tried to deny their own staff were involved, only to have to go back on that when one of the guys walked pastor uniform. Overall, poor location, poor rooms and poor facilities. If you are looking for somewhere cheap but nice to stay, look elsewhere.

We are a couple from the Netherlands, our first visit, + first few nights where is Hotel Silver moon. Arriving at the airport and taking a taxi to the hotel was a mind opening experience. I have to say we have traveled a lot, so it is not like we haven't seen any other lands then The Netherlands. However this neighborhood was something we haven't seen before. The hotel is in the Backpacker + range. And I can imagine that for the Indian people this hotel is in the top segment. The neighborhood of this hotel however is not touristy, like most spots in India ( besides the Taj Mahal maybe). you are only blocks away from Slums. But there is a store and some restaurants. on the other hand I am glad we have stayed here because we have had some good times and memories on this one. The staff was very friendly, we came in very early, the room wasn't ready at first but they cleaned it so fast with 4 of them. furthermore we made a bus trip advised by the owner. it bus a bus full of Indians and we had the time of our lives. during this bus trip we were asked to take photo's with almost everyone on the bus. We thought this was some kind of group feeling. but on the stops we were asked by other locals. back in our hotel we asked the owner what this is about. he explained it is because we have white skin, most people don't see people with white skin at all or often. during the rest of our stay in India a lot of pictures with us are taken. prepare yourself on this because it is kind of weird, like if you are a celeberty.

This was good hotel nice clean and good people.....recommended for short stay...but unfortunately I was very upset for payment. ....when I book there was nothing to write any extra u have to pay but when I pay with crad they charge me 2.5 % extras......so be careful when u book u have to confirm payment conditions. ....all over good ...

The place was not so difficult to find although,located near Masjid station. However the area around is extremely busy at early hours and not so pleasant. They provided us a room that seemed clean but was faulty ,the tap was running and the pillow cases torn,also we had roaches. They happily changed us a room,which was slightly better. The staff was friendly and speaking sufficient english. The only things i hated were the lack of common area,in the room there were no chair or table and the entrance looks scary. Also the walls could use a painting.

Some of the rooms have cockroaches, holes in the wall where birds are picking on and the rooms are very dirty (even for Indian standards). Never gone make this mistake again, pay a bit more and find your self a better hotel to stay! Dont waste your time in this crappy location.
